Hello,

My name is Kevin and I’m That Irrigation Guy. I’ve worked in the landscaping industry for almost a decade and have done everything from tree care to natural preservation. I’ve installed, managed, and maintained garden irrigation systems in the Hudson Valley since 2023. I am a proud resident of Kingston, and happily serve clients in Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, and northern Westerchester. Check out some of the projects I’ve done.

Born and raised in Illinois, I learned and mastered irrigation techniques from for Dan the Aquaman in Chicago for many years before moving to the Hudson Valley. In New York I’ve worked as the Meadows and Preserve Technician for Teatown Lakes Reservation in Ossining and as an Ecological Gardener and Irrigation Manager for Plan it Wild in Croton. Through this experience I’ve built a robust plant knowledge, especially native New York plants.

My diverse experience has taught me valuable skills in project management, organization, and communication. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many great people on hundreds of fulfiling projects. I’ve hand-picked insights from each to bring to my own business while building lasting relationships with everyone I’ve met on my journey.

When I am not working, I enjoy hiking in the Catskills with my shepherd mix, Kodi Bear.

Since starting That Irrigation Guy in 2023, I’ve had the pleasure of partnering with like-minded businesses in Plan it Wild, Rosewater Garden Design, Let it Grow Landscapes, and Seedhead Gardens to seamlessly integrate irrigation into their landscape designs.

One thing that distinguishes me from the usual contractor is that I am also an artist. I earned a B.A., English and M.A., Writing and Publishing from DePaul University. I’ve published many health and sciences articles and have even written a book. Since moving to the Hudson Valley I’ve become an avid painter and typically find inspiration working in the field.

I take a thoughtful approach to the work I do while prioritizing aesthetics and functionality. I carefully consider your yard’s needs while accounting for future growth. I then build my irrigation systems to be discrete and hidden so the watering happens like magic!
